Anasped is the national federation that represents the regional associations of customs brokers. It is the most important trade association for the profession in Italy, with an organization structured into a Federal Assembly and a Board of Directors.

It represents the interests of customs brokers before national and international bodies and institutions, promoting the legal recognition of the profession, its advancement, and regulatory updates.

Anasped, Europe and the World

ANASPED plays an authoritative role in the European and international customs landscape. It is an active member of CONFIAD, the European Confederation of Customs Brokers, taking part in technical consultations with the European Commission and contributing to the development of common customs policies.

Through CONFIAD, ANASPED engages on strategic issues such as the Union Customs Code and the digitalization of procedures. At the global level, it is a member of the IFCBA (International Federation of Customs Brokers Associations), bringing the voice of Italian customs brokers to major international forums. This ongoing commitment strengthens the institutional recognition of the Federation, confirming it as a competent and reliable partner in dialogue with foreign authorities and organizations in the customs sector.

THE MEMBER ASSOCIATIONS

The decision-making heart of the Federation

The Assembly represents the highest moment of participation and discussion within the Federation. It is composed of representatives appointed by each member association, who collectively cast one vote for each member of their organization.

This collegial body plays a strategic role in guiding the Federation’s activities through its core functions:

Setting policy guidelines: it addresses issues of general importance for the profession, establishing the Federation’s lines of action;
Elect the statutory bodies: appoint the President, the two Vice-Presidents, the members of the Executive Board, as well as the members of the Boards of Auditors and of Arbitrators;
Approving financial documents: it reviews and decides on the provisional and final budgets, as well as the moral and financial reports presented by the Board of Directors;
Taking significant decisions: it rules on all matters provided for by the Statute and by law, as well as on those included on the agenda.

The Assembly is therefore the forum where the collective will of the members is expressed and where the future of Italian customs representation is shaped with a shared vision.

What is ANASPED and what is its mission?

ANASPED is the national federation that represents the regional associations of Italian customs brokers; it engages with national institutions, the EU (through CONFIAD), and global organizations (IFCBA) to protect and promote the customs broker profession and to advance regulatory updates in the sector.

Who can join ANASPED?

All customs brokers holding a license, as well as customs brokerage companies that register with the relevant regional association (Ancona, Bari, Bologna, etc.), can join. Membership in the local association automatically entails membership in the national Federation.

What services do members receive?

What is “ANASPED Giovani” and how can one become part of it?

ANASPED Giovani is the Federation’s “under 40” section, launched on December 1, 2022, with an initial online meeting of 25 young customs brokers and trainees from across Italy. Its goal is to engage the new generation in conferences, study groups, and innovation projects, fostering junior-senior dialogue and generational renewal. Qualified customs brokers or trainees registered with their local Council can join: simply inform the secretariat of the relevant regional association, which will forward the application to the national Youth Coordination. Members receive invitations to training meetings, mentoring, and opportunities to represent ANASPED at events.
