Clecat è l’ associazione europea per gli operatori delle spedizioni, trasporto, logistica e servizi doganali. Nata nel 1958 ad Anversa, in Belgio, ha sede attualmente a Bruxelles e rappresenta gli interessi di 22 organizzazioni nazionali di fornitori di servizi nel mondo dei trasporti. Multinazionali, piccoli e medi spedizionieri ed agenti doganali, sono tutti inseriti nelle organizzazioni Clecat, rendendo questa associazione la più rappresentativa struttura del settore.

Le organizzazioni associate in Clecat danno voce agli interessi di più di 19.000 aziende che generano lavoro per almeno un milione di persone. Per grandi linee, gli spedizionieri e gli agenti doganali associti in Clecat, gestiscono il 95% di tutto il traffico merci europeo e maneggiano il 65% dei trasporti su gomma, il 95% di quelli aerei ed il 65% di quelli marittimi.

Clecat promuove le attività e difende gli interessi dei suoi membri in collegamento con una grande quantità di controparti istituzionali ed extra-istituzionali. Partecipa alla creazione e modifica dei sistemi legislativi e regolamentali relativi alle modalità ed alle formalità dei trasporti, con l’ intento di assciurare la creazione di un sistema uniforme ed omogeneo, dove le merci possano muoversi liberamente ed in sicurezza, per il miglioramento del commercio internazionale con il rispetto per le istanze di sicurezza ed ambientali.

Clecat was established in 1958 in Antwerp, it is now located in Brussels and it represents the interests of 22 national organisations of European freight related service providers. Multinational, medium and small freight forwarders and Customs agents are all part of CLECAT’s structures, thus making it the most representative structure of its kind.

Clecat members voice the interests of more than 19.000 companies employing in excess of 1.000.000 staff. In rough figures European freight forwarders and Customs agents clear 95% of all goods in Europe and handle 65% of the cargo transported by road, 95% of the cargo transported by air and 65% of the maritime.

CLECAT promotes the activity and defends the interests of its members in connection with a large number of institutional and non-institutional counterparts. It has a voice where a regulatory environment concerning transport formalities and transport modes is created, in the intent of securing a uniform and seamless environment, where cargo can move freely and securely for the benefit of the whole international trade, with due respect to issues such as security and environment.
