Anasped is the Italian federation of regionally based associations of customs brokers (customs freight forwarders). It is the most prominent representative body in Italy for this professional category.\nIt is organized with a federal representative body, the Assembly, headed by a federal president, one or more vice presidents, and a secretary general.\nThe executive body responsible for organizing, implementing, and executing the decisions of the federation is the Board of Directors, composed of 13 members and coordinated by a president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Federation aims to take action on general matters concerning customs brokers and, in particular, it seeks to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
a) represent the category at the national level before public and private bodies, authorities, and administrations; to study and address issues affecting the profession; and to ensure the implementation of adopted resolutions;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
b) enhance the role and professional activity of customs brokers by promoting and coordinating initiatives aimed at securing an appropriate legal framework for the profession and establishing institutions to regulate and govern professional conduct;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
c) promote and maintain national and international relations and agreements with offices, bodies, or associations directly or indirectly related to the profession;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
d) provide for the appointment or designation of representatives of the profession in all national bodies and organisations in which such representation is provided for by laws and regulations or is required or permitted;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
e) carry out any other functions entrusted to it by laws, regulations or provisions of the competent authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Please note that in Italy the profession of customs broker is regulated under Law No. 1612 of 22 December 1960, as subsequently amended and supplemented, and is organised in a professional body, the National Council of Customs Brokers (Consiglio Nazionale degli Spedizionieri Doganali), which oversees the training of customs brokers and their representation before public institutions.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
